Our Staff
In order to exceed our customer’s expectations on a daily basis, we have to hire the finest people possible, because we know that great people are what make great businesses. We have been blessed with a group of excellent employees who have been with us from 10 to 26 years.
All of our technicians are ASE certified. Several are "Master Certified" which means that they are certified in all eight areas of the automobile.
Several other technicians have received the coveted L1 advanced rating which only 13% of the nations 391,000 certified technicians receive.
Our service advisers also receive training on a systematic basis enabling them to advise our customers wisely about maintenance and safety issues.
Mike & Sherrie Buckridge
Mike’s responsibilities are mainly the overseeing of all three facilities. Sherrie is the corporate secretary and works with design and marketing. Mike and Sherrie are both graduates of the Automotive Training Institute, which trains shop owners in running automotive businesses. They have two lovely daughters that both live in Eugene and three grandkids. They love traveling, Mike is pursuing his pilot's license, and they both love doting on the grandchildren.
Craig Noel, General Manager
Craig prides himself on integrity, customer service and good moral compass for the automotive industry. He has been married to his wonderful wife since 1987 and have a teenage daughter. They also had a son that passed away in his teen years due to health complications. Craig's hobbies include building street rods (currently working on a 1937 Woody) and spending time with his family.
Campus Team:
Calvin, Shop Manager & Lead Technician
Calvin manages our Campus location and has been at Sun Automotive for 28 years. He is a "Master Auto Technician" with an Advanced "L1 Diagnostic Rating". He has been working with engines since he was a kid, tinkering with lawn mowers and go-carts. He is an avid Duck fan, living in Eugene all of his life. He enjoys camping and riding quads with his kids, ages 15 and 13.
Jack, Service Advisor

Jack has been with Sun Automotive for 6 years and is the service advisor at our Campus location. Jack has been in the auto industry for over 30 years, previously in dealerships. He loves the small shop atmosphere, getting to know the neighborhood and creating friendships with them. He grew up in Georgia, but enjoys the Pacific Northwest. He has four kids and one granddaughter. Jack volunteers for the MS society and loves riding his Harley. He is a member of the Patriot Guard Riders and went to Sturgis last year.
Tim, Technician
Tim has 20 years of automotive experience with 7 certifications, working on his 8th for the L1 technician rating. He was a helicopter mechanic for the US Army before he came to the automotive industry. He has been married for 6 years and has a daughter that recently "flew the nest". He in avid huner and fisherman, and is very involved with his motorcycles, being a member of the Patriot Guard Riders and Vice President of the Star Motorcycle Group. He and his wife love to tour the Pacific NW.
Shane, Lot Attendant
Although he is new, he's already become a team member, going above and beyond. In his spare time, he enjoys working on his cars and gardening, because it's peaceful and gives him some quiet time. He's also addicted to Ebay!
Springfield Team:
Mark, Store Manager
Mark is a service advisor and the Springfield store manager. He brings 30 years of experience to our team and has been with Sun Automotive for 17 years. He and his wife, Julie, enjoy spending time with their three kids and a new grandson. Mark enjoys all sports, remodeling his house and is involved with his church.
Tanner, Service Advisor
Tanner is a service advisor for our Springfield shop. He is married, has two dogs and enjoys working on his VW’s in his spare time. He also enjoys off road racing and auto–X.
Nick, Shop Foreman
Nick is our shop foreman at the Springfield location. He has been in the auto industry since 1972, when he graduated from LCC’s automotive program. Nick joined the Sun Automotive team 25 years ago. He is a Master Certified Technician with an L-1 Advanced Diagnostic Rating. He also has participated in the National Plymouth troubleshooter competition. Nick’s area of specialty is speedometers and computer systems. He has been a contracted instructor for CARQUEST Technical Institute teaching technical classes to other automotive technicians. He enjoys gardening and music and is involved with a group reenacting civil war activities. Nick and his wife are both involved with their church, Melinda playing the piano and Nick leading the singing. They love spending time with their two daughters and grandkids.
Jim, Technician
Jim is a “Master Auto Technician” with an Advanced “L1 Diagnostic Rating” He has been with the Sun Automotive for over ten years brings over 40 years experience to the team. Jim enjoys fishing and spending time with two daughters and five grandkids.
Bryan, Technician
Bryan is a Master Auto Technician and a graduate of the LCC Automotive program. He has been with Sun Automotive for 5 years. Bryan holds ASE certification in all 8 areas of the automobile. His spare time is spent playing disk golf, restoring old cars, running and mountain biking and loving on his three sons.
Oakway Team:
Marty, Store Manager
Marty's work history has mainly been in Information Technology, but he is enjoying the new relationships he is building with customers and staff. In his free time, Marty enjoys spending as much time as possible with his family. They enjoy camping and all types of water sports and are very involved with their church.
Mike, Technician
Mike has been a Master Certified technician since 1985 and a 30-year veteran of the automotive industry. Mike has been part of the Sun Automotive team for seven years. In his spare time you can find Mike hanging out with his daughter and grandkids. He enjoys building & repairing computers, racing and football. Mike enjoys working with the deaf community and their many projects. One of his goals is to become proficient at sign language.
Jamie, Technician
Jamie joined the Sun Automotive team in 2004 and is an “ASE Master Auto Technician” with an Advanced L1 Diagnostic Rating. During Jamie's weekends and evenings, he enjoys snowmobiling in the winter, and wake boarding in the summer.
